First time in front of the camera – portrait session on the Budapest riverbank

Some shoots are planned down to the last detail – pose, location, styling, moodboard. Others, you just show up and see what happens.

This one was the latter.

Kinga had never been in front of a camera before, and it showed – but not in the way you'd expect. There was none of that stiffness people sometimes bring when they've watched too many "how to pose" tutorials. She was natural, curious, and she brought a book.

The book wasn't a prop idea of mine – she brought it herself. That small detail said a lot: she wasn't trying to play a character in front of the lens, she was just being herself. The riverbank gave the frame, the Danube gave the depth, and natural light did the rest.

Budapest's riverbank is a photographer's friend: industrial and elegant at the same time, a quiet tension between concrete and the open river that shows up in the images without being forced. The blue patterned trousers gave the visual anchor that catches the eye – present without competing with the background.
